FASS is looking to recruit a Project Support Worker for Curnie Clubs. Funded by The National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, Curnie Clubs is a peer support programme for adults who have become socially isolated as a result of living with a range of challenging circumstances.

Project Support Worker

Salary £20,388 pro rata
(16 hours per week)

The candidate will have experience of supporting people in a project setting. Very good communication and administration skills are required.This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure. Some out of hours work and travel required.

Volunteer Alcohol Counsellors

 

We are looking for Volunteer Trainee Counsellors to join our Counselling Service. We provide one-to-one confidential counselling for individuals over the age of 16 years who are affected by their own or someone else's alcohol-related problem.

Our service has volunteering opportunities throughout Fife on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Our volunteers provide 3 hours per week to facilitate change using solution focused interventions with clients in a self-reflective supervised practice.

Volunteer Counsellors receive quality training, supervision in line with COSCA Ethics Guidelines and work towards an accreditation in alcohol counselling. Previous counselling training to COSCA Certificate/Diploma or equivalent is desirable.
Successful applicants will be required to PVG Registered.

FASS is an organisational member of COSCA.

ADAPT Substance Recovery

Volunteer Support Workers

 

Volunteering with the ADAPT project gives you the opportunity to experience frontline support work in our drop-in recovery clinics throughout Fife. Volunteers receive training to work alongside the ADAPT team.

ADAPT is a substance recovery project provided by Fife Alcohol Support Service. ADAPT runs clinics throughout Fife and also offers a counselling service and support.

Clients access the clinics for information, advice and sign posting. In your role as volunteer support worker your duties will be to assist staff in the clinics by welcoming clients, assisting with the delivery of harm reduction interventions and maintaining the reception area.

As well as client work a lot goes on behind the scenes to promote the project such as leaflet distribution, surveys and updating of information. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to assist with the production and distribution of promotional materials, research emerging drug trends and help at events.

Volunteers are offered training and will receive regular support and supervision.
No experience necessary but a caring non-judgmental approach is essential.

Minimum commitment 4 hours per month.
